Jobs and Affordable Housing in Scottsdale
Housing options are excellent too, if you can afford them. Scottsdale’s becoming an expensive place to live. Before you fall head-over-heals in love with the city, here are things you should know.
For a long time, Arizona was an affordable place to live. But, the tradeoffs were lower-paying jobs. Today, many jobs are better and more plentiful, with better pay.
But, as our popularity grows, we’re in a time of rising housing prices, interest rates, and a shortage of homes. However, building of new luxury apartments is skyrocketing to meet the demand, as are the rents that go with them.
Apartments are great if you want a high-rise, no maintenance lifestyle, with lots of amenities. Maybe you aren’t looking to live here long-term or invest in a home. And, you may be okay with roomies to share expenses.
Is your dream instead to own a home here? If so, this will likely mean winning a highly-skilled job, like tech, healthcare, law or an executive role.
Doing your research and getting realistic about your options will be an important factor in moving to live and work in Scottsdale. Here is a fabulous demographic from our City for stats!
I’m here to help guide you, if you’re considering moving, whether you’re already here or thinking of moving to Scottsdale. Yep, I have a blog post on Moving to the West’s Most Western Town!
Why Companies Startup or Move to Scottsdale
Companies startup, move their offices, expand, and hire here for many reasons, including these, which make working in Scottsdale desirable:
A highly educated and qualified workforce.
It ranks in the top 10 US cities for the lowest catastrophic disaster risk.
We have enjoyed a good standard of living, with a lower cost of living compared with other major US cities, such as California. But this is changing, as I’ve said.
Our city is close to US and International markets via Sky Harbor Airport and our own Scottsdale Municipal Airport.
Arizona has traditionally had a climate favorable toward businesses, and we’re living in very fortunate times to work in Scottsdale!
Scottsdale Entrepreneurs, Startups and Small Businesses
Scottsdale has been name a Top 10 city to launch a startup company, as well as one of the best cities for Hispanic entrepreneurs.
